Extra legroom seat

Travel in comfort with ample space to stretch out. You can now pre-book an extra legroom seat in Economy Class for a small additional fee. Seats with extra leg space are available for pre-booking subject to availability, eligibility criteria and terms and conditions.
Pre-booking of extra legroom seats is available only for passengers holding SriLankan issued tickets and on SriLankan operated flights, and is not available on our partner/code share flights.

How to book an extra legroom seat

Extra legroom seats can be reserved

  • while purchasing your ticket on Srilankan.com
  • by logging in to the Manage my Booking portal after you have purchased your ticket
  • by visiting any of our ticket offices
  • by calling our Global Contact Centre (within Sri Lanka 1979 or International +94 777 771979)
  • through your travel agent

Limited Extra legroom seats are available for pre –booking and would be offered on a first come-first served basis, subject to meeting the exit row safety requirement. You can also purchase a seat with extra legroom at the airport subject to availability.

Extra legroom safety requirements and terms and conditions

To be seated in an exit row seat with extra legroom, passengers must meet the following requirements.

  • Passengers who require special assistance (during an emergency situation) may not opt for this facility. E.g. wheelchair, elderly, medically unfit passengers and unaccompanied minors, children etc. may not opt for this facility.

  • Airline shall use its discretion to accept or deny the passenger for these specific seats at the airport as per the Airline’s safety policy. In instance of denial of acceptance, the fee collected for extra legroom seat would be refunded.

  • The rate for extra legroom seat is per flight sector and once purchased is non-refundable. Date changes are subject to seat availability.

  • In the event the Airline is unable to provide a seat with extra legroom as booked due to operational reasons such as aircraft type change, the airline shall refund the amount collected for the advance seat confirmation.

  • Only limited seat numbers are available for pre-reservation.

  • Seat with Extra Legroom can be booked online, by calling our Global Contact Center, visiting any of our Ticket Offices, or through your travel agent any time before 3 hours of the scheduled departure. If you were unable to pre-book or if availability is not displayed, please check for availability at the time of check-in for purchase.

  • Extra legroom seat reservations are specific for the flight and such payment shall not be refunded for any voluntary route changes.

  • Extra legroom seat charges will not be refunded in the event you travel in Business class due to a voluntary or involuntary upgrade.

  • Not valid on codeshare flights marketed by SriLankan. Only valid on UL operated flights and for SriLankan Airlines issued tickets.
