We try to offer you the most convenient flight options for your travels whenever possible. At times when SriLankan Airlines flights are not available for your desired sector, or the SriLankan Airlines flight is not available for your requested day we make sure you have a convenient journey with our partner airlines instead.
What is a codeshare flight?
Booking a codeshare flight is as same as booking a SriLankan Airlines flight. Codeshare is a cooperative agreement where airlines carry passengers whose tickets have been issued by another airline.
Our aim is to provide you with a wider range of routes and schedules for you to choose from than what an individual airline may offer on its own. As a result of agreements made with our partner airlines, you have the ability to book seats on a number of other airlines through SriLankan Airlines as well.
When you book a codeshare flight, your ticket will have a SriLankan Airlines flight number as you have booked your travel through SriLankan Airlines. However, the flight will be operated by the codeshare partner with a different flight number than the one printed on your ticket.
There will be limitation of online reservation of meal and seat preferences when booking codeshare flights on www.srilankan.com.
You will be notified the operating carrier once you select your flights.
What is an interline flight?
Our interline partnerships allow you to change from one flight on one airline to another flight on another airline without having to gather their bags or check-in again. This allows you a wider network of destinations to choose from and ensure a smooth journey right throughout.

If you miss your connection due to no show or delay on your part, you will have to rebook your connection. We strongly advise you to be present at the airport at the scheduled time to avoid any inconveniences. Please note that there will be additional charges involved.
