SriLankan Airlines teams up with your favourite local banks in Sri Lanka and Exchange Houses in the United Arab Emirates to bring you Book now Pay later– a convenient payment option that is absolutely credit card-free!

Who can use this?

Anyone can use this facility. You don’t even need to have a bank account!

If you don't have a credit card or you just don't want to use your credit card for booking your flight, you can still grab that special online offer with the SriLankan Airlines' Book now Pay later facility, straight from the airline.

Step 1: Simply make your booking on and select the "Pay Later" option at the payment page.

Step 2: Pay with one of our Partnering Banks or Exchange Houses.

General Terms and Conditions

  • Please note that if the payments are not made within 48 hours, your booking will be automatically cancelled.
  • This facility is not available for flights departing within 72 hours.
  • If you make a booking which has a codeshare or an interline connection involving another airline flight the payment will have to be made within 8 hours
  • Kindly seek support from the branch counter staff to ensure that the funds are paid to the correct account to ensure that you receive the ticket with utmost ease.
  • In case of a refund for a ticket issued from the Pay later option, please note that a cheque will be issued for the refunded amount for the passengers bearing the ticket.
  • For payments made in UAE the refund will be issued through the respective Exchange Houses for the passengers bearing the ticket.

Paying in Sri Lanka

You can visit a branch of a partnering bank and pay over the counter or use the online banking facility provided by the partnering bank.

Paying at the counter

  1. Fill the payment slip with the following
    1. Beneficiary name: SriLankan Airlines
    2. Beneficiary account number: It is not required for you to fill the account number. For assistance related to the account number, please inform the bank to get in touch with us on 1979.
    3. Payment Reference: Six character alpha numeric Booking Reservation Number
    4. Amount: Exact amount as per the booking confirmation
  1. Submit the slip to the counter.
  2. Your e-ticket will be sent to your email address submitted by you at the time of the booking

Please be mindful about the below in making the payment at the branch.

  • Ensure that the payment amount and the payment reference (which is the booking reservation number) are entered without any errors. I.e. please write the numeric Zero and the letter “O” clearly.
  • You must only pay the amount of the booking as one single payment (multiple part payments will not be accepted).
  • You do not have to be an account holder of the bank to use this option. Anyone can pay at the branch counter.


Pay through your online account

To use this option you need to have a registered and active online banking account with one of our partnering banks.

  1. Log on to your online banking account.
  2. Go to 'Make a payment', select payee as 'Airlines' and select 'SriLankan Airlines' as the client.
  3. Enter the exact amount payable, the "Booking Reservation Number" under Reference Number and the paying party's name under 'Customer Name'.
  4. Click the payment mode & proceed.

Alternatively you can also use your bank mobile apps to pay.

Paying from United Arab Emirates

After holding your booking on the website, please follow the below steps.

  1. Visit any outlet of our partnering Exchange House and present the counter staff with the confirmation for reservation (printed or an electronic medium such as your smart device will do)
  2. Once the counter staff validates the details of the booking on hold, pay at the counter.
  3. Your e- ticket will be sent to the email address that you submitted at the time of the booking.
  4. You can request a copy of the payment confirmation with the ticket itinerary from the counter.
